Starting a business
Looking to start a business and not sure if you should learn all you need to know about running a business or outsource it?
It’s a question that can be answered based on a number of conditions.
1. Do you have existing potential clients who want your services now!
2. Do you have finances in place to contract out services?
3. Are you willing to learn new skills, do you have the time?
4. Are you expecting to grow quickly and expect to take on staff?
5. Will the business likely require you to be fully hands-on doing what you do best?
6. Will you be customer-facing or behind the scenes?
7. Will you be running the business part-time to start as it grows?
There is no right and wrong answer
And the point of the questions is to make you think about your potential business structure, both in the short term and long term.
Importantly it’s something about YOU that needs to be decided on, and a time to be honest with yourself – are you someone that likes to learn new stuff, are you a people person, many creative people are not great at admin for example.
There is nothing wrong with admitting you are not great at admin and for the success of your business it’s worth doing that soul searching now.

The questions are not intended to sow doubt be create clarity for yourself. Take some time to think it through and then – move / take action / start something today.
You won’t regret starting something new, but you will regret it tomorrow if you don’t do something today.
